What are the filter options?

Ed Controls offers many options and combinations for filtering. These are available via web.edcontrols.com and in the Mobile Applications.

How do I get to the filtering options?
Web
: After you have logged in and selected the project, on the left side of your screen you will see the filter menu.
Mobile applications: log in, click on the project, select the (drawing) group and then click on the 3 dots at the top left of the screen.

If you are logged in via web.edcontrols.com, you are shown all your projects in the overview. It is possible to search for and filter results in this screen.

From top to bottom:

  1. Filter by favorite projects;
  2. Filter by archived projects;
  3. Search for projects;
  4. Choose from your available contracts.

The results of the searches and filtering are immediately shown on the right.

As soon as you have opened a project, you will get new filter, search and navigation options.

At the top of the menu under ‘Project’, you can quickly switch between the projects that fall within the same contract. You can also search for a project name. If you click on a project name, you will immediately switch projects.

If you want to switch contracts, you have to go back to the first screen.

You can filter by status within a project. This is possible for both tickets and audits.

Click on a status to display all tickets or audits with that status. Combining statuses is possible.

The option to filter by drawing is available in the ‘Tickets’ tab.

First click on the right group with drawings, the group will now fold out. Then click on the correct drawing to view the tickets on that drawing.

Tip : It is possible to mark a group and individual drawings as ‘favorite’. Do this by clicking on the star. The favorite drawings and group will be at the top of the list.

Tip: If you click on the name of the drawing, the tickets will appear in a list. If you click on the image of the drawing, the tickets will appear on the drawing.

The option to filter by templates is available on the ‘Audits’ tab.

First click on the relevant template group. The group will now fold out. Then click on the relevant template to view the audits already created.

Please note: If and audit has yet to be started with a template, the questions on the template will appear on the right of the screen.

If you have selected the ‘Library’ tab, you can filter based on your Library groups. If you click on a group, the drawings and/or files will be displayed on the right.

Tip: The first option under ‘Library groups’ is to add a new group.

If you have selected the ‘Templates’ tab, you can filter by your template groups. If you click on a group, the corresponding templates will be displayed on the right.

On the tab pages ‘Tickets’, ‘Audits’, ‘Library’ and ‘Templates’ it is possible to filter on persons. There are several options for this filter:

  1. Created by;
  2. Edited by;
  3. Responsible;
  4. Consulted;
  5. Informed.

The above options can be used on their own. Combining is therefore not possible.

Tip: By clicking on the star, you can mark a person as ‘favorite’. This person will then move to the top of your list.

In the ‘Tickets’ tab, it is possible to filter by tickets that are linked to an audit.

  1. Click on the correct group of templates, the group will now fold out.
  2. Click on the relevant template, this group will also fold out.
  3. Click on the audit you want to filter for. The tickets associated with the selected audit are shown on the right of the screen.

Tip: By combining this filter with the ticket statuses, you can answer questions such as:
How many tickets are there in total for this audit?
Have all tickets in this audit been completed?

In the ‘Tickets’, ‘Audits’ and ‘Library’ tabs, it is possible to filter by date. Various options are available for this filter:

  1. Adjusted;
  2. Created;
  3. Deadline.

The above options can be used individually or in combination. Combining is therefore possible.

If you have selected the correct option(s), indicate the time period you want to filter.

Please note: The ‘from/on’ date is always in the past. The ‘to’ date is set to the present date by default, but can be adjusted.

In the ‘Tickets’ and ‘Library’ tabs, it is possible to filter by label. To use this filter, simply select one or more labels from your list.

Tip:To deselect a label, click on the label again.

In the mobile applications of Ed Controls filtering is possible. On the tabs tickets, audits and library you can filter on status, persons, roles, label and date.

The filter menu in the mobile applications is always found at the top of the screen under the button with 3 dots: icon sorting.


Tip: It is also possible to sort the search results. You can do this by: Last Modified, End Date, Author, Creation Date, Title and Drawing Group and Drawing.
