How do I archive a ticket?

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

There are two ways you can archive a ticket.

New ticket: when you first create a ticket and you only want to document something for information purposes that requires no follow-up action. In the ticket creation screen click the ‘Archive’ button.

Existing ticket: when a ticket no longer needs to be active, it can be archived by an Accountable or Support. Here’s how it’s done:

  1. Log in via web.edcontrols.com;
  2. Open the right project;
  3. Go to the Tickets tab;
  4. Open the right ticket;
  5. Now, on the right side of the screen, click the archive icon;
  6. The ticket is now archived.
  1. Log in using the Ed Controls app;
  2. Make sure the right project is downloaded on your device;
  3. Open the project;
  4. Go to the Tickets tab;
  5. Open the right ticket;
  6. Now press the Archive icon to the right of the screen;
  7. The ticket is now archived.

Note: De-archiving a ticket works in the same way. At this step, click on the ‘de-archiving’ icon.

It is also possible to archive or de-archive tickets from the ticket list. To do this, swipe a ticket to the left. Then press the ‘(de-)archive’ icon to archive the ticket.

Note: It is possible to archive or de-archive several tickets at once. De-archiving a ticket works the same way. To do this, first look in the archive and select the tickets you want to dearchive here.
